Poss. Air Leak

Yahoo Message Number: 7853
On my 96 Intrique, in the left front compartment, there are several small componants which appear to be associated with the air suspension and/or poss. breaking. I'm unable to find anything in the manual which specifically ID's what these are. I'm leaning more towards the air suspension? One of these units is small and black and almost resembles a small water filter unit. There is an inlet and outlet hose for air. There is a brass connection at the bottom of this unit which has an air leak. Does anybody have an idea what this might be and should I be concerned with the air leak at this time.
Everything appears to run normal and after letting the coach sit for a month, the air guage in the dash shows normal.

The unit itself reads:

Parker Pneumatic ABI D6F13AB Has a Max temp/Max Air Pressure tag as well.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you and Happy Holidays

I'm not certain, but what you describe sounds like your vacuum pump. It operates, for example, the flappers for the dash heat/ac. Can you tell if your leak is blowing or sucking?
Mine is located in the small compartment, driver's side just forward of the wheel. It also contains the hydraulic sump for the slides, 12v air pump, and a fuse box.

I'm not sure if you would have the samr set up.

Chuck,

Another CC Owner suggested that perhaps this is an Air/water separator and the bottom brass piece leaking might be a check valve. The air blows out. The unit is part of the air bag leveling system!

I think for that vintage CC there was an air dryer up front on the drivers side. If you start the coach and let the air build up the air dryer will "bleed off" at max air pressure, making a semi loud pusssh noise. That's my best guess....

I attempted to level our '98 Intrigue today and the compressor which levels the coach kept on running without actually doing anything, so I checked ... and sure enough the brass connection at the bottom of the separator in that compartment is leaking, too. What's the remedy anyone? Replacing the filter? Check valve?

Dick, I'm using the white Teflon tape on these, being very careful\[br\] not to overlap the end to prevent any of it getting in the lines\. \[br\] Seems to work\.
