Replace Bedroom TV

I read where some of you replaced the bedroom TV with a Flat Screen TV and mounted on a hinge.

My question is did you manage to attach the hinge to the TV or mount the TV on a board with a hinge attached? Did you use a piano hinge?

I like the idea of being able to swing the TV out of the way and get to that space where the old TV was mounted.

Had a local cabinet maker build & install. Basically boxed in picture frame for 24" Samsung mounted on 3 HD concealed hinges mounted to Left side cabinet frame.

Latch is HD plastic that normally stays close except when on rough & twisting roads ( Alaska)

Inside is a huge space. Perfect for a safe.

Be sure to install retention cable for when the latch unlatches.

Hi, we took out old tv and i made a door wit plywood and put a edge of walnut  on it, made a mount  to hold tv led .put a long hinge on side with a lock at top. All our books are inside cabnit now, charles 2000 k magna

My bedroom tv conversion to a flat panel has a nice matched wood cherry frame around it.
