New Owner

Hello,

I just purchased a 2001 CC AFFINITY 42 F Double slide. I am new to RV's and I am the second person to own this beauty. Trying to remember everything will be a challenge. My wife and I live in North Port, Florida. We plan to spend about five months in New England and Canada 🇨🇦 Hopefully I can learn from other members of the group.

Welcome to the group, remember to search the group history (old emails) first as many good answers are already there. Some things I had to replace on my coach based on age already: Slide awnings, tires (@every 7 yrs), batteries, water heater, roof A/C's, bed and other upgrades. Since you probably are unable to get a warranty based on the age of your coach. I would set aside @ $7k a year for repairs some years will be more some will be less. You've procured a great coach (referer to as the tank of RVs) build tough.

Your very fortunate to find a quality coach without all extras that can be more headaches than they're worth. I admit you'll have to update TV's, replace air conditioners, and a rear view camera system if they haven't been already. Tire issues, starting solenoids, water heater circulation pumps, starters, lift pumps , hoses and belts should have been taken care of before the sale over the years. With a well outlined service bi annual service regimen the coach should be a great investment for the forceable future. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731.

Welcome aboard, Richard. Congratulations on choosing a great coach! You will find that your CC is one of the finest RVs you can own. AND that like all RV's, it's an ongoing puzzle to be solved. We've only had ours since August, and I have learned SO much from this forum already, I'm starting to feel like one day I'll have figured most of it out.

You'll learn a lot just by reading the daily posts, so be sure not to miss your digests. There are a lot of very knowledgeable folks posting here.
