Daughter and son in law want to join the MH people. They have a budget of $100k, want diesel, 36ish with Table, not booth,. Maybe 2 couches, propane, electric refer, gen and some Solar panels. At least 2 slides more maybe. Let me know what would be a good deal for them.
They are rally racers, will be pulling a 24 foot car trailer and dry camping at the race sights. Both have been national champions.

Hello. We have just decided to put our 2000 affinity up for sale. Not exactly what they want but may be the right price! 42 ft. Just had coach gone through. Sleep number bed and large shower. Drives nice, just took it from South alabama to D.C. 18 hours. Just purchased a plane and do not see needing it right now or we would surely keep it. Let me know if you are interested. John - One thought would be to ask them a bit more about he weight that 24' trailer. If too heavy, a larger block engined coach may be the way to lead them. Drop years to remain within budget. This would make the Intrigue, Magna, Affinity models possibly the right choice for them to look at. (Intrigue came stock with either ISC or ISL (Don't recall if they had the CAT C9 or not?), but they could also be optioned with the BIG BLOCK C12, C13, etc. - which would provide power, and just as important, larger displacement engines also provide more Braking Horsepower with heir Jakes. This may be required if the trailer load is too heavy.

If not a heavy load, then Inspire on up will do them a well:)!

If they had another 15 to 20 grand they might be able to find a 2004 Intrigue with a Cat- C-12 that

would give them enough pull to haul two trailers. Other wise they are going to be stuck with 370 or

400 ISL's or previous 350 ISC. O4 was the first year for a big block in an Intrigue. Other wise you need

to look at Magnas, more $$$$$$$. Look at Damon Rapozo's web site with specifications on different

Where did you get 2 trailers from? I would suggest something with a tag though not sure a 36 with notag will hold up long term hauling a large trailer.

Why would you want to down size? You'll loose bay right away, and you'll loose BUNCH of horsepower. Though I have to admit my 400 ISL gets me there. Another thing you'll be giving up is the third Air and unless you settle for a 34' you will definitely miss that. I know I had a 36 ft. I assume you have replaced your radiator and gone thru that issue, and unless you are willing to step back in time, finding newer coaches that match up with your that are significantly shorter is going to be a challenge. You realize you have the best Kitchen space CC ever made. Oh you might have to upgrade your refer, and rebuild your genet and hypo hot soon but unless you move forward in time, say to 07 or 08 where the production problems started for some models, stay with what you have. My 42' will easily out turn 36' coaches with the old straight axle. And though our coaches are not party coaches like the later models with larger sofas, and smaller kitchens we seem to do OK. We replaced our awnings a long time ago and haven't had any issues since. There always seems to be something to update or replace but unless you buy a SOB new coach then you will still have the same issues. I'm getting my alternator rebuilt and a new rear air this spring. Oh. The 4th slide doesn't show me much they are so shallow and they take away a lot of wall space. The idea of not having a window over the head of the bed is appealing. But the bed rooms are so dark with out big windows. And that brings up the issue of lighting. I know our florescent lights arent appealing to some, but they give off much more light consuming less power that coaches with all the Quartz Halogen lights. That said I have yet to find a replacement led lamp that equals either a 10 or 20 watt GR4 lamp. I will say the newer coaches have a nicer wider entry way, that makes the coach even shorter and removes even more underneath storage. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731 42' with 400 ISL

PS IN 03/04 CC made a 38' coach thats almost identical in the bed and bath with a shorter kitchen and about the same size sofas.

We have 2006 Country Coach 34 foot Inspire we purchased new in Jan of 07. We have added solar as we do a lot of dry camping. We have added a Winegard Traveler HD Satallite, flat screen tv's. The rig is stored inside when not in use and all maintenance records are available. If you think they would be interested feel free to pm me.

I hope all is well with you. My wife Terri and I bought your NuWay 5th wheel about 2 years ago. We enjoyed it while we had but decided we would rather have a motor home so we bought a 40' CC Inspire. We are loving our Country Coach and glad we took the plunge.

We owned a 34 ft Airstream Limited we enjoyed for 11 years. That said, it had the twin pain sealed windows and we used the trailer during winter in the Rocky mountains. I would dream of having anything unless it had an Arctic package. We had two airs as one could not keep up with Arizona heat in the summer. If I were doing it again I would have a diesel generator in the pick-up with additional fuel tanks to keep the coach cool or warm while traveling. That said the convenience of a motor home is so much higher. Having friends with 5th wheels, they are a pain in the neck unless you plan to stay still for long periods. Set up and take down is a strenuous exercise of physical challenges and the build quality is always suspect. Even the high line Newmars fit and finish is only average.

As much as I can romanticize about owning an Airstream TT again, the fact that the set up, take down and leveling as with a fifth wheel is such a pain in the back and knees. So, I will stick with motorhomes until I can't anymore. Like other things in life, going back isn't always a pleasant experience. I have the 2000 36 Intrique for sale it only has the sinfg;e slide but has 3 large solar panels on top and in tip top mechanical condition.
Some clear coat issues but the price gives room to resolve them. asking 47,500 in AZ phoenix. Let me know as you come through and I will show it to you.
