HWH Computerized Leveling System

Yahoo Message Number: 7960
Mickey Rivers mentioned that his CC's HWH leveling system's water separator check valve was releasing air (not a "leak"). Our CC's check valve also is constantly releasing, thereby not allowing the system to level the coach.
Mickey ... were you able to repair yours? I reviewed the system's literature and it doesn't explain what the check valve actually does. It also doesn't mention the relief valve located *before* the dryer, which you're apparently supposed to pull occasionally to release moisture (?).
So, (1) what does the check valve actually do; and, (2) might it be OK for me to disassemble the dryer, cleaning it in the process, and squirting WD-40 into the check valve to unclog it (if it's clogged) and to make it operate as it should?

The bottom line is that I assume that some debris got into the check valve clogging it in the open position.

Dick,

I haven't had a chance to look fix the problem or even insure that I actually have a leveling problem! I plan on taking it out of stotage probably next tues and will try to level my coach to insure everything is working. The last time we used the coach, the leveling system worked fine and the air leak was minor and seemed to cut out on its own after a while. It was mentioned that perhaps, the air leaking was excess pressure above the recommended PSI and that the check valve was in fact working correctly? In any event, I will be looking at it next week prior to leaving for Quartzsite, AZ and certainly don't want any problems? I'll also look for the secondary release valve as well and I'll let you know should I find the quick fix or the problem corrects itself!

I had to clean mine due to manufacturing debris in the lines. I didn't lubricate it, but we do lub the driers/regulators in our larger compressor lines.

Doug and reply to Dick Capagna,

I checked my HWH Leveling system today and it leveled quickly without any problems. After putting the system on travel mode, I turned off my coach and checked for air leaking. It still leaked! I then looked for the secondary Check valve, per Dick C. post, which had a small pull ring attached simular to one attached to my portable air compressor. I pulled it and it made a poping noise as it released! Almost immediately, the leak stopped! I restarted my coach and set for level. As before, I leveled the coach quickly and without any problems. I no longer have an air leak!

Hope this info helps you Dick!
