Massive insurance rate increase!! Anyone else?

Yahoo Message Number: 105260
I have been with Nationwide for about five years, paying about $1,300 a year with no claims. I went to pay for my renewal today and discovered they have raised my rates to over $2,000. My motorhome is registered and insured in Montana I am not an LLC type. Nationwide explained to me this has nothing to do with me but with a national increase in claims on motorhomes of this length and age (2002 42 foot Resort). I should mention that I have a substantial agreed value on my motorhome and have since I got my policy. Nothing has changed and my rates have not been increased until now. In effect with the rate change it will now cost me the same for actual cash value as an agreed value of a $160 k! It would seem to me that anyone with you a coach of this length and age should be experiencing similar increases if Nationwide is telling me the truth.

Rich check out Foremost rates are very good and they pay claims instantly. Have been with then for years, have had 3 or more claims and they have not raised out rate.

I called a foremost agent waiting to hear. Who else is good and competitive for full-timers these days?

Try Miller http://www.millerrvinsurance.com/

I'm a South Dakota resident, full timer and they gave me the best price the last time I checked.

If you live in an area that has Mercury Automobile Insurance, I pay less than $600/yr. They value the coach according to retail market value in your geographic location. I paid the $25 deductible when a rock cracked the windshield and they replaced it. Over the last twenty years, I've had several auto claims, all of which were satisfactory-no complaints. and no, I have never been employed by them.
