SLIDE OUT LEAK

Yahoo Message Number: 105327
I had a sever leak in my slide. It came in at the top through the cabinets, which were soaked.
Shawn Wilson, my repair guy in Tucson examined the seals and they were fine.
So I contacted Country Coach/Winnebago and spoke to Vern. he was VERY helpful after I described what happened. He explained what to get to do the repair, and pointed us toward this video he did of a repair he did previously that they filmed at Oregon Motorcoach. Slide Out Seal Repair

Shawn rented a scaffold and did it just like this video on site.
I did have some problems finding the products locally because two of them are hazardous materials. Sikaflex 252 Black is not that hard to find online, but the price can be crazy. I got 3 tubes at Merritt Marine Supply for $10.00 each plush shipping. I ordered the Sika Acktivator cleaner 205 for $25.00 and the Sika Primer 206G+P Adhesion promoter for $70.00 plus an additional $5.00 for "hazardous shipping" from Jamestown Distributors. They have lots of information on their page about the products. Make sure they actually have the items in stock before you place your order.
It rained and NO MORE LEAKS!
