I'm not sure of all the applications, but mine were on my 2007 Allure 42 ft Siskiyou Summit Holland Neway IFS suspension, and that covers I believe 2007 back thru 2005 Intrigue as well. If interested and you cant find out, let me know what year and model coach you have and I will check.

Good day.

We have a 2002 Allure S, 40' with 350 HP Cummins Dynomax chasis. I think the shocks need to be replaced and tried to find the subject on the forum.

Looks like some like Koni which I found on line and other like Road King, saw their video - quite impressive but no pricing.

Suggestion would be appreciated.

Changed to Road Kind about 4 1/2 years and 42,000 miles ago after the original (non-adjustable) Koni's were useless. Didn't find anything at the time from Koni except what I was removing so I decide to go with Road King. No regrets! Excellent shocks, front and rear. They are a little pricey though. In the area of $400 each but they are warranted for life and can be rebuilt. On our 2 1/2 month trip to Alaska they didn't bottom once, not even on the frost heaves! Bottoming on the old Konis was a serious problem prior to changing.

Thanks so much for your input on the shocks. I spoke with Will at Road King this morning and he suggested the 2.5" boar shocks for our coach. He was very helpful since the 2.5" list for $390 and the 3" boar about $500. Calculating that it cost just as much to install good shocks as bad ones, we will going with a set of 4 for the coach.

What was really cool is he offered a better price when buying all 4, what a treat. Considering we use the RV for horse camping and often wind up on dirt roads, the money should be well spent.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Last year I replaced my original Koni SP1 front shocks with the newer Koni SP3. I have been very pleased with the result. Excessive bounce and bottoming out are now gone. The shocks are adjustable, I have them on about 3/4 dampening, that seems to be right for my coach.

This morning I had 4 shocks installed... Koni 99b 3254 on front and the FSD on rear. I've asked two shops to inspect the old shocks for wear and each shop suggested the old shocks were fine and not needing replacement. But I've been bottoming out too easily and since the coach has 110,000 miles figured I'd replace them anyway. With the new shocks installed I drove a route that has numerous spots I knew from experience would cause the coach to bottom out, but the new ride is a vast improvement... No more bottoming and bouncing and the ride is much more pleasurable. Very happy with decision to install new shocks.

We recently had the new Koni EVO's installed on the front and the newer FSD's installed on the rear. The EVO's were around $225 each, and the EVO's about $180 each. The new FSD's are not adjustable. All I can say is it is an awesome ride since getting them installed. No bottoming out, and absolutely no "porpoising" at all.
