front A/C on inverter option

Anybody with this option, I need some help operating it. It is not as simple as pushing the multiplex rocker switch Front A/C Inverter/Main... At least mine doesn't work. But I am sure there is more to it. I also would be interested in your review of how this option works, and any battery charging issues. It must really suck down the juice! My manual just says it is an option on the Magna, no explanation of how to operate it.
