Dometic Ice maker...

I didn't winterize it right a few years ago.. The solenoid leaked (cracked) So I replace it, Now no ice.
So I check the Solenoid and it doesn't seem the brown wire gets Ac current. So I went inside, took the front of the ice maker off, moved the gears to start a cycle. Still no good.
So I figure replace the ice cub mechanism ... I got a new one, it came with a tube of Heat connective thermomastic sealant. Hmmm I see how the ice maker clips on.. Doesn't seem to clip off... did they use the sealant to adhesive it on? Has anyone took one apart?
