Move Coach 50' with Slide Outs Extended

Yahoo Message Number: 107320
Would there be a problem if I pulled our 40' Magna 50' forward on level ground and then backed back into our space with the slide outs extended? I need to load my motorcycle on the back and can't do it without pulling out of our back-in space at the RV park. I'm looking for some wisdom out here, because we are still very new to this wonderful coach...

Thanks,

Mike St. John

I have moved my coach several times 5 or 10 feet to improve satellite reception with The slides out but on a level site It all depends on the type of the large front slides The scissor mechanism supports the slide at the ends of the slide not the bottom CC started using this type in 05/06 on the higher end coaches Bob. 12047 Intrigue

I guess I't might depend on what type of Slides you have. I have X slide at one location and the others are the heavy duty type with the large hydraulic rams under neath. I have had to move the coach any number of times with the slides out, but I do it very slowly over even flat ground. Those folks with geared rams under neath and the chain drive in each of the 4 corners, I would be very hesitant. The secret of the move is not to create dynamic forces that can twist the mechanisms. Once twisted, you in for big troubles. So very slowly like NASA shuttle on its transfer ramp crawler and only on flat stable ground. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731
