Dash air control

I have an Evans Tempcon dual control dash AC in my Affinity. The temp control is very temperamental (sorry) the control goes from 45 to 115 degrees with a slight adjustment of the control. I have checked the water valves, controls, and the vacumn pump and all appear to be working smoothly and have a wide range of movement. Does the system have vacumn controlled doors inside the blower unit that temper the air before it goes to the dash outlets? Has anyone experienced this very touchy control problem on their coach
