Weatherstrip entry door

Yahoo Message Number: 107860
Last year I used the rolls of foam weatherstrip to re-do entry door for when the screen door is closed. Didn't work well, I'm sure I did something wrong. It flattened out, lost its shape, and didn't stick to the metal frame well. I had wiped down the frame with mineral spirits before applying the weatherstrip. Am I using the wrong product for this project?

I also want to take a brief moment to thank so many of you for your suggestions for RV resorts near Knoxville, Savannah, and St. Augustine as we plan our trip! What a fantastic group!

A step up from denatured isopropyl alcohol is shellac thinner. Ethyl alcohol also denatured but slightly better at removing goo. Last, try lacquer thinner but be careful as it softens plastic and damages paint.
