I have recently purchased a 1998 Intrigue, The Cummins engine has 103,000 miles. Any concerns about the killer pin issue with this model engine?

I you sure it is a 5.9 L. I have a late (December) 1987 with the 8.3 at 330 HP in my 32' CC

We have a 1998 Allure with 8.3 litre, thing is as big as the master bed. Looks much bigger than the 5.9 in my pickup.

If it is a 1998 Intrigue with a 325 HP Cummins then it is definitely a 8.3L 6CTA engine. I have the same one. Actually I would be curious what your coach serial number is, etc. to see how close it is to mine and exchange a list of what we've encountered :-)

As far as I know, the "Killer Dowel Pin" problem only applies to 5.9L 12-valve engines, which our coaches are not. Mine has been serviced at a Cummins N-Power & Coach Care shop since it was brand new, and they have never mentioned this problem with the 8.3L.
