Electric Slide relay problems

In our brand new CC Allure 36', we had failure of a Bosch control relay in the LR slide. Two weeks later, we had identical failure in the BR slide. In both cases Lazydays replaced both extend and retract relays with identical part number Bosch. I await further problems!! There must be a reason for the failures. Has any one else experienced such.

By the way, cranking in that BR slide by the Armstrong method is TOUGH. Really need a loooooong handled 3/4" box wrench.

On our new CC Allure 36' we also had the LR retract relay fail during during our PDI check- out. About two weeks later the BR retract relay failed at my shop as we were getting ready to leave on a trip. Fortunately, I had contacted CC and had them send me a spare relay between the first and the second incident, so I replaced the BR relay myself. Then, I immediately got a couple more spares from CC parts which I carry with me. We've had no repeat incidents since the initial two problems.
When changing out the relay I discovered that our coach, as built, was wired differently than the schematics indicated. That required a trial replacment of each of the relays until I found the malfunctioning one (which, of course, was the last on !). Schematic has now been annotated correctly.

The Bosch relays are very hard to find other than through CC parts. The Bosch part number for all four of the relays (they are interchangable) is 0332209161. I don't know the CC part number. The same relay seems to be used in a number of other places in the coach so it is prudent to carry a few spares. If one fails on the road, they will not be readily available through the local NAPA, CarQuest, Auto Zone, etc. parts stores.
Re the wrench, I agree. I carry a 3/4 ratchet with a "pipe handle extension." Works fine.

I have a 2000 Magna and have a different slide than your later model Allure, however, I changed out 3 relays and several other components over a 15 mos. time period because of an intermittent slide. I finally found the problem was a cold solder joint behind the printed circuit board that held the ignition power fuse. (that powered the slide). You can trouble shoot it all day long and not find the problem. If you can't solve your problem, you might look at that.
