Tom,

I found refills for mine at O'Reilleys Auto Parts. They were not stocked, but they had them in 4 hours. About $16 each. These are ANCO part number 53-26. They are the heavy duty, 26 inch long style. NAPA did not stock them but said they could get them also.

I have been getting mine at my local Walmart for the last 6 years.
They have refills up to 28" my allure takes 24" and they are under $4.00.
I have good luck with them, they last three years or so.

I couldn't locate any 24" refills so I just adapted a pair of 28" Anco refills to fit my 24" wipers on a 2002 Magna. It was a fairly simple process to cut them down to fit the metal holder. I cut a new slot in the end of the plastic backing of the refill with an Exacto knife after I cut the new wiper strips and plastic backing to the proper length Total time about 10 minutes. Cost: $9.99 for 2 (two) refills Anco W-28R at Wal-Mart.

Not an answer to you questions but it reminded me of a question.

What is up with tennis balls placed between the wiper arms and the windshield? I saw several parked coaches this weekend at Buckhorn Lake in south Texas with one tennis ball under each wiper arm.

The tennis balls keep the wiper blades off of the windshield, theoretically making them last longer.

Walt,

I made two 4 inch square blocks from 1 inch material and place them under the wiper arms when ever the coach is parked. My coach is almost 5 years old and the wiper blades are the original blades and they still work as good as when I first needed to use them.

The tennis balls are somewhat of a help, however; the best thing I've found is to take 2 pieces of foam pipe insulation, (the gray stuff you can get at Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart etc.) cut it to wiper lengths, slit it up the center where it is already scored, then slide it up the length of your wipers when you are parked or travelling in good weather. The sun will bake your rubber blades onto the windshield if you don't protect them. This is easily done without climbing ladders or chasing tennis balls down the road.

Another (more colorful) approach is to buy a "pool noodle" at Wally world (one that's got a hole in the middle), cut off a couple sections, and slit the sections lengthwise. Now you can slide the sections over your wiper blades. Total investment - $2. You'll probably have enough left over to cover the wiper blades for your neighbors.
