Stairs

I have a 97 Intrigue, and a few days ago while camping my stairs decided to come in every time the door closed no matter if you set the stairs to off. It closes, but only after about 10 seconds after you close the door. Any suggestions on what it maybe that I can check for while I have the bottom plate for the steps off to check it out?

I have a 1999 Intrigue, guessing your steps are similar.. I have attached the users manual for the steps. I had similar problems with mine, ended up changing out the controller and the micro switches....
