My tachometer spikes up and down randomly. My mechanic says it is the tach. Anyone know how I can find a new one? Thanks Mac

Had the exact same coach with the same problem. They said it might be the ground, so I added another ground to the tach. It didn't change a thing. Kevin Waite had a new tach but it was in the $300 range. ( I think and it was 18 months ago)  So I opted just not to pay attention and ordered the Silverleaf VMS for my computer and used that.
Good luck.

I had a problem with my tach several years ago. I contacted the manufacturer, although they had changed hands several times, they graciously repaired it free of charge.

I do have these in stock. Cost would be $175.00 (Includes SHipping)

John, Would you please share who the manufacturer is and their contact info. That would be great. Mean time I will contact Kevin Waite. Thank you

Mac:

The mfg. that repaired my tach was Veethree Instruments at http://v3instruments.com

I don't remember the original mfg. of my gauges.

I'd call CC and request the name of the mfg. for your gauge's, it may different then the Allure supplier.

Mac, I had the same problem with mine and found that the culprit was the setting adjustment screw on the back of the tach being slightly off creating an intermittent contact. Try turning the setting screw a little and see if that cures the problem.
