Electrical problem

Yahoo Message Number: 112897
Good morning a little help please.

I can't get electricity from shore power or gen power into the coach. It
also seems that while driving it is also not charging the house batteries.

When using the inverter, everything comes online and works fine, all
outlets are working. As soon as I plug into shore power everything cuts
out EXCEPT the house a/c. Same thing happens when I use gen power. Now,
the house batteries are to low and I had to shut off the inverter.

I have checked the GIC outlet, reset all the breakers. The lights are
green on the surge protector.

Thank you kindly,

I would say power transfer switch in the inverter, since you lose ac power except to the a/c which does not pass through the inverter.

I would say the transfer switch for your AC problem. I would say the 400 amp fuse in battery boost circuit for the lack of charging house batteries with alternator. That fuse is probably in inverter compartment.

The power transfer switch I am talking about is part of the inverter. When it senses ac power in it switches a bypass relay and supplies ac directly. If it was the transfer switch that manages connections between genset and shore the stuff running on the inverter would stay working and the a/c would NOT work.

Hi all,
My problem the mother board was fried. Everything goes through the inverter except house A/C. There is a place in Tucson that repairs them. I'll let you know next week when I find out the cost.
