Dometic Refridgerator

Hope someone can help. My 1996 CC Allure has a model RM3863 3way fridge, the AC and DC work but Lp does not. I smell gas at the back but no spark. The ice maker has dripped on the gas assembly and there is considerable rust there. I can hear the module or maybe the reigniter beeping like it is sending a signal to the spark electrode. Has any body experienced this problem? Thanks for imput!!!

Greg,

This is very basic advice, but does your cooktop light? Have you replaced your LP gas detector and solenoid at the tank? My fridge would not light and I found that was the problem.

Yup did that, I actually used a long nosed lighter and was able to get a flame at the orifice but it wouldn't stay lit. So I am wondering if it could be the spark igniter that's not functioning....THANKS for input though!!!
