I have a 2004 Country Coach Inspire. Has anyone changed the air dryer on this model coach? I cant find mine. Mine has 70,000 miles on it and I'm concerned that it may need changed.

My 2007 Inspire came with a non changable filter. I replaced the entire unit with a replaceable one. Change the filter every 2 years.

John,

I have an 07 so it may be different but it's located above the rear axle up high on the right side. If you still can't find it just follow the braided hose coming from the air compressor on the engine. It goes directly to the receiver/dryer.

Our '08 Allure has a cartridge air dryer - which has to be changed regularly (every couple of years should be enough, I've been advised). I was told it would be located above the differential. But in fact it's behind the differential and to the passenger side. Pretty hard to access unless the rig is up on a lift...

When I first bought our used Allure, I had Colton Truck do much of the baseline catch up maintenance. This included the Air Dryer. The way they explained things to me, is that a coach used in very moist/humid conditions, say Southeast, will need Air Dryer service more frequently then one in an arid region of the country. They recommended a 3-4 years cycle of for my coach, due to our travels usually being in the Southwest, with a dash of the higher moisture Pacific Northwest...

We've been doing this cycle since then, just had the second one as owner's, installed late last year.

Best to all,

There is the air dryer desiccant filter and the purge valve both of which should be serviced. The re-manufactured filters are considered to be as good as the new and cheaper.
