Hi, were full time in our 2000 magna now in nc area not real cold yet, we are getting a lot of condensation in the am, we are running our hurrican heater, any way to stop the problem. How about the shower skylite, it sweets also and it is a double insulated dome. Buy the way we had our home sold so we move into the rv, and the day we were to pick up check they back out. What a pain Charles 5886 2000 magna

Sorry to hear about the house sale issue. As to the condensation, there seems to be very little that can be done to prevent it. People breathing, cooking items, taking a shower, etc. all produce the water vapor, and any cold surfaces will attract it. The hassle of trying to cover those surfaces is worse than the moisture. We simply wipe down the areas we need dry (windshield, windows) with a towel, and live with it. We have two "bus" type fans up front, aimed at the windshield, and they do a good job of clearing it. Ventilate, ventilate, ventilate....... Yes this will us up some heat but it's the only way to prevent/control this.

You can open your skylight vents or even just crack some windows a bit. When we use the shower we open the Lav or Kitchen Vent and run it to vent the humidity. Haven't had a problem.

We use a dehumidifier, it will take remove 15 pints of water from the coach, when on the coast of OR

Use the fantastic fans to vent and you might try more floor heat to offset so much hydronic heat

Our coach is 40,' 4 slides and a dog who definitely contributes to the moisture problem.

We have a Soleus Air dehumidifier, model GLDEH 30-1, which is capability of removing 30 pints of water per day. We set the unit in the middle of the coach which is near the bathroom. We are currently in Tucson and don't need it, but next summer I will probably set it in the shower and run a hose from the unit to the drain. I set the unit to 50-60 % humidity, but if you notice the wood is drying the wood out, apply a coat of Weidman's lemon oil to the wood. We've had the unit 4-5 years and it works great, very little moisture.

Consider buying a small dehumidifier Depending on the outdoor conditions you can ventilate the coach when you are taking a shower or cooking

Try a cheap dehumidifier. We Keep one operating all the time in homes, rv, garage and shop to keep windows from fogging or molds from growing. Very necessary in south GA with high humidity. 32 pint unit with drain hose can be drained in sink when rv not in use but can be manually emptied when traveling. $200 from Lows or store of your choice but be sure to get the 2 yr extended warreny since some units last year's others only months.
