Roadside assistance policy

FMCA just announced in its latest issue a $69 annual roadside assistance program. Who, if any, has done a comparison between this plan and Coach Net (which is omitted from the comparison chart included in the relevant article)? Perhaps there is no similarity between these two plans.

The best is AAA. They don't charge mileage. Yes they cost more annually but the difference will be negated on your first call out.

AAA is good but they have a few negatives. One is they will only tow an RV 100 miles then you have to pay the extra. The other is in outskirts they don't have any contractors to tow larger rv's and you have to find your own. They will reimburse you the cost once you fill out the paperwork. It takes about a month for the refund. I still have AAA but I carry a different one. That way if I don't like the repair shop that is the closest I can go to the one I want. It's a little more expensive that way but it's a piece of mine thing with me.

I had Good Sam for 20 years, used them twice and both times was a terribler experience, long wait time to get through and for service! Both were for a flat, one at 10:00 at night, GS said they couldnt find anyone open, have to wait until the morning.
I called AAA, didn't have RV coverage but asked who why would call for service, got a number and guy there in an hour.
Last time waited 7 hours for service from GS and the guy they sent out was a hack at best!
GS never paid any of the claims.
Cancelled my GS road service and insurance which was way overpriced. Insurance is with Progressive, they were great with a claim I had.

I've had three interactions with GS and all three went very well. Two tows at the tune of $725 and $650 both Cover 100%. I also had both my chassis batteries go while we were in Death Valley. They found batteries in Las Vegas and drove them all the way to Death Valley and installed them. All I paid was the cost of the batteries. I will stay with them as long as I have a coach.
