New Coach Reply #1 – February 27, 2004, 05:41:59 pm Yahoo Message Number: 8631Sorry for the blank post. I have a habit of hitting the enter key to go to the text box but that posts the blank message instead. The deal is going well and we are committed to the new Intrigue. Thanks for all the help. If anyone knows someone looking for a deal our 99 Dynasty must go----quick. A real deal is there for someone. Maybe a gas jock looking to move up to diesel. I would post this on the Monaco group net but they would kick me off for buying a CC and I'm not ready for that quite yet. Maybe a final post when the time is right. Lyle Quote Selected
New Coach Reply #2 – August 10, 2009, 12:34:50 am Yahoo Message Number: 50668Hello All, I have been following this group for a few months now. I have gleaned a great deal of information and maybe a little insight into coach ownership. I am quickly approaching a point where coach ownership would make sense. I've looked at a lot of new/used coaches. There seems to be some great deals right now. Question: If you were to buy a new coach what are some things that you can't live without? What could you do with out? I am considering an Inspire. New? Used? any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark Collins Quote Selected

Re: New Coach Reply #7 – August 11, 2009, 01:41:18 pm Yahoo Message Number: 50726Lee:Your order is great, except....I would reconsider the heated floors. If you crack or chip a tile it is a bear to replace one if you have too. At least that is what the tile people told me in Junction City. My slippers work just as well and my dog is happier. Anyway, look into it before you order heated floors. The carpets are a pain. I have full tile.Bob2007, Allure 470 Quote Selected
Re: New Coach Reply #8 – August 11, 2009, 02:07:51 pm Yahoo Message Number: 50727Did any of you who have tile do replacement of carpet to now have tile? We have an 06 Inspire and dislike the carpet quite a bit. Our kitchen area is tiled with an arc at one corner, so I'm wondering how it will be to replace the carpet with tile, which we want to do, and does one match the present tile or is it best to redo it all, carpet area as well as present tiled area, kitchen, little hall area to bathroom and bathroom? Thanks for any thoughts.Mary06 Inspire 51784 Quote Selected
Re: New Coach Reply #9 – August 11, 2009, 02:24:10 pm Yahoo Message Number: 50729Hi Bob. You'll note our coach is an 07, which we bought used a year ago, with heated floors. So it is what it is. We are not the folks looking. --Lee Zaborowski (On the Iron Range) 07 Intrigue 12153 Quote Selected
Re: New Coach Reply #10 – August 11, 2009, 06:52:36 pm Yahoo Message Number: 50740Bob,Our '07 Allure has half carpet, half tile. Did yours come with full tile? We would prefer tile. We love the heated floor. When it's cool, like we are experiencing in Florence, OR now the heated floor is all it takes to take the chill of in the morning. The problem with the heated tile I am told is the wiring at time of replacement. Country Side (?) in Junction City discouraged me. They were doing a lot of tile work for CC at the time I ordered my new coach. They did replace a couple of tiles on my 2003, Intrigue, First Avenue. Anyway, it is obviously a personal decision.Bob2007, Allure 470 Quote Selected
Re: New Coach Reply #12 – August 12, 2009, 08:37:53 am Yahoo Message Number: 50754Another problem concerning heated tile is that some campgrounds/resorts are charging more if they know you have the heated tile floor.Gene10920 Quote Selected
Re: New Coach Reply #13 – August 12, 2009, 12:50:48 pm Yahoo Message Number: 50765Jerry:I ordered my coach new. It has four slides. The drivers side slide floor does have carpet. It might be because it would be to heavy with tile. At the bedroom door carpet starts again. There is tile in front of the washer and dryer. The bathroom is also tiled. I could not order it any other way. It is called full tile on the order.Bob2007, Allure 470 Quote Selected
Re: New Coach Reply #14 – August 12, 2009, 04:07:09 pm Yahoo Message Number: 50771Gene, you have to joking! You go to campgrounds where they ask you if you have heated tile!!? And they charge more! The heated tile uses about 8.5 amps, less than an electric heater and is far more efficient.Rich 2002 Magna Quote Selected

Re: New Coach Reply #19 – August 13, 2009, 08:34:03 pm Yahoo Message Number: 50811Jerry:The carpeting down the center would be annoying. The less carpet the better. I do not have heated floor. There is an RV / Tile / Furniture store across from Mc Donald's on the main drag. Stop there and as questions. They say it is much more difficult to replace heated tiles due to wiring. You would probably have to replace the entire floor covering before they put down the new heated tile. After talking to them I decided slippers were not so bad after all.Bob2007, Allure 470 (a great coach) Quote Selected
Diesel Fuel Tank Vent Reply #20 – August 14, 2009, 12:48:35 am Yahoo Message Number: 50815On our 97' Magna the fuel tank vent is under the drivers seat area, under the body of course. Comes off the tank and straight down. It causes lots of raw diesel smell to enter the coach. Has anyone moved the vent? If so were and was it successful in stopping the diesel smell? Thinking of moving the vent end to just the outside of the coach body so it will vent into the air stream, but when the power plant is ran, it also causes fumes. Do the newer units have a different vent system? Thanks Leonard97' Magna 5418 Quote Selected
Re: Diesel Fuel Tank Vent Reply #21 – August 14, 2009, 06:37:56 am Yahoo Message Number: 50818I suspect it is not the vent... You probably need to look for loose connections, leaks. If the vent goes down the side of the tank, I doubt that is the source of the fumes. The vent usually has little air movement is it, except when you are fueling. Even is the fuel expands a little that happens so slow that there is not a lot of air leaving the vent at any one time.Mikee Quote Selected
Re: Diesel Fuel Tank Vent Reply #22 – August 14, 2009, 08:17:58 am Yahoo Message Number: 50819Maybe you should check your generator fuel line and hydronic heater for leaks. They have been known to leak.Larry, 03 Allure 30856 Quote Selected
