Armor

I'm thinking about ditching my front armor - that 3/8" thick plastic
front end cover. While I think it's interesting, it just makes sure that
I cannot clean easily behind it, and it's one more thing to have to
polish. I'm sure I might get a occasional rock ding in my paint without
it, but I'm ok with that.

Anyone have any arguments for keeping it?

I've thought about the same thing, but rejected the whole idea when I factored in the body/paint work to fill all of the holes. I polish mine about once a year, but our coach is garaged about 8 months of the year.

I ditched mine a while back. I agree they're more trouble than they're worth. They were a 90's retiree fashion statement but there's a reason they no longer put them on new rigs.

Easiest way to plug the holes is to just put stainless steel button-head bolts in them. If you ever do a re-paint (like many of us with peeling clear coat over unpainted fiberglass gel coat need to do) you can have the body shop fill them in.

Hey there Wes and others. If you do get rid of it let me know if you can salvage any of the parts etc. I would love to have them for extras, I have a few bent allen screws and am missing a side deflector.

I agree about the PITA it is to wash behind. I am also wondering how much we need it? Anyway let me know.

Wes, why not fill holes with stainless buttons and then have a vinyl bra made for the front of the coach. Just a thought.
