Water Pressure Regulator

07 Inspire Genoa w/Hydro Hot

Looked on the plumbing drawings, looked in the water filter passenger side bay, where is the pressure regulator? Is it adjustable? Looking for more shower flow.

When I was having an issue with shower flow in my 2004 Allure I found a restrictor washer in the shower head. Why it was there I can't imagine. Removed it and things got a lot better. Could be worth checking out.

I doubt it is your water pressure regulator. It is more likely calcium and magnesium salts (rocks) in your shower head/valves. Disassemble them all and clean with vinegar or CLR. Also if it was your pressure regulator it would only affect flow on city water, not the pump. So if your shower is low flow all the time, I suspect rocks.

I put in a new shower head and replaced hose and other fittings. Still looking for pressure regulator.

Mine is in wetbay buried behind fascia cover. So I guess you have good flow on pump?

On my 2003 the regulator is inline for city water only. If you are using your pump and fresh water tank, you are bypassing the regulator. If there is no difference between the two, then it is unlikely a problem with the regulator.

Is your water pressure on city water ok at the kitchen sink? Or do you have low water pressure throughout the coach (in which case it probably is your pressure regulator). If it is just the shower, I still think it is the main shower valve clogged with minerals. You can remove it from the front of the shower ( behind the handle) if you get the exploded diagram or instructions for your particular shower handle/mixing valve.

Okay, here's a bit of advice from a new/used CC owner, but old licensed plumber. Many tub/shower and shower valves from the 2000's (especially Moen) had a pressure balance feature that allowed only a pre-set water temperature to flow through the valve. Today, almost all valves come with that feature. In other words, if someone turned on a faucet nearby, the temperature would not suddenly increase or decrease (remember those days when taking a shower??!!). This was done by installing a "balancing spool" as part of the shower valve. This "spool" will corrode or "lime-up"over time rendering it useless and will allow little, if any, hot water through the valve. On a Moen valve it is usually part number Moen 1423, and believe it or not, can be purchased from Amazon. It is easily replaced by removing the eschuceon trim plate covering the valve. It does required a large side socket to remove it, though, and a little Liquid Wrench to free the threads.

I know the mid-2000's Monaco's had this valve. My guess is that CC did also. I had to replace one in an '06 Dynasty I owned.

Ok, it's your pressure regulator then. There is a lock nut and adjusting bolt on the end. Set up a pressure gauge and increase it to about 55-60 psi. As I said, mine is behind wetbay fascia, on floor, towards driver. Real PIA to access.
