Studs drive wheels

I am missing two side by side lug nuts on my rear Drive wheels. It appears that the studs sheared. I have the truck shop to make the repair next Friday before I continue North to Canada. They say it would help to order the studs now. I think it is a two part item? Any info appreciated.

Unless you know how long your lug nuts have been missing, the industry recommendation is to replace all of them if two or more are damaged. I would highly suggest replacing all of them at one time, so you know that you will not experience a wheel off.

I agree! And watch your tire guy he is the one to blame. Inexperienced tire installer and over pressured tire guns will stretch and break wheel studs

After posting my stud issues to this group, I got into the Manual. All the CC part numbers were there along with important info. They are left hand threads on driver side and right hand on passenger side. Who would know? Anyway, I blame the chassis service I had done a few months ago. Manual states 450 lbs torque. They could have sheared from being loose? I hope NAPA has them.

Any time a wheel is removed and re-installed it MUST be secured with a wrench known as a torque stick to 450 lbs.
Tire shops claiming there air impact wrench does that should be avoided at all cost. Run away...quickly.
Watch and insist that returning wheels to hub are tightened in a star pattern. This assures the wheel is mounted evenly secured across the hub face.

No they shear from being over tightened , I know from experience thirty five years trucking.
