Fuel pump shut off

Yahoo Message Number: 115473
Hi,
Just recently I am having a tough time fueling my '01 Affinity. I only use the truck lanes at Pilot/FJ, and now when I try and fuel, the nozzle kicks off repeatedly. If I hold the pump nozzle, just barely opened, fuel will flow into the tank. But trying to pump 80-100 gallons like that takes forever. Something is wrong, as I have not had this problem before in the 10 years I have owned the coach.
I am using the fuel fill on the drivers side, and if I also un cap the passenger side fill, I have no problem. Anyone had this before? Any thoughts?

Thanks
Bob

Sounds like the vent line on the tank is getting plugged and not letting the air out while fueling.

Bob, the vent line is usually zip tied to the fuel fill hose from the tank to the fill port. I suspect that the vent hose has sagged somewhere in the run and has pooled fuel, thus blocking the vent. Find and fix the sag and you'll be good to go.

Good luck.
