Allure slide seals

Yahoo Message Number: 115823
2000 Allure. Looking to change the seals on the living room slide, specifically on the slide itself. Mine has no vertical seals on it at all. It does have the horizontal seal in a channel on the bottom. Also nothing on the top going horizontal under the awning. What type of seal is supposed to be going up and down the the slide room? Also what is supposed to be on the top under the awning?

All are bulb seals with a wiper blade. That also includes the one under neath. There are many different sizes of the bulb diameter and the blade width. My Bedroom slide room was mounted 3/16 " off center so the standard size does work, but the rear one had to be replaced with a wiper place normally used of Alpine and monaco slides that have a larger gap. wider wiper blade. I bought mine at Guaranty many many moons ago and the Guys at Oregon motor coach installed it in about 1/2 hour. TWInsall 2004 Intrigue 11731.

Hey Guys. I also have a 2000 Allure and I have replaced the slide seals two years ago. I copied what was there and even ordered the seals from CC. I am not sure I installed them correctly as I am still getting a little wet spot in the corner of the slide on the inside behind driver seat. I have now noticed other coaches that have the slid seal in a continuous loop around the opening. Mine was cut to put into the corners and wondering if that is letting in water. Can't figure this one out.

I would love to see some pics of your install and if you have seals on the slide it self.

Thanks,

Joe

Don't run the overhead vent fans when it's raining without having a window open a little. The negative pressure works like a straw on any seal...sucking the water in. Also, whenever I put the slides out, I go around with a rubber spatula being sure all the rubber seals have set properly. I've had my fans suck fowl air in thru the washer trap also. Crack a window in the bathroom.
