Splendide washer dryer door locked

Have owned my CC Tribute since it was new. Have NEVER used washer dryer until this week, when I decided to dry a few hand towels. Worked fine for 3 days. Now door is locked shut, wet towels are trapped inside, and dryer cycle knob goes around and around endlessly by itself. Troubleshoot manual instructions followed to no avail. All I want is to get the towels out. Any suggestions?

My DW uses our Splendide a lot, and she suggests turning off the circuit breaker to the unit. Then set the dial to "Reset" and turn the power back on, then wait for the blinking red light to finally go out and you should be able to open the door. Good luck and safe travels.

Thank you Jeff and Peg Thurston about the prompt advice for the Splendide washer-dryer. Unfortunately taking that action did not resolve the issue. Guess will seek repair or removal after end of trip. Another adventure in RVing!

It is the electronic "child proof" lock that keeps the door closed. If you can figure out how to get the door open ( I too would have thought disabling power to the lock would allow it to open...) I would advise disabling that feature. My wife hated to see the clothes all balled up inside, over dried, not being able to get them out to finish hanging them up for no wrinkles, so I disabled the lock following instructions on YouTube. It is very easy. Now she is very happy with the Spendide, perfect for small loads. Better than hanging out at the laundromat!

Call Splendide 800 356 076 six they are veryful to work with, have called several times, had their phone tech help me. Have 4 different brands of coaches still had Splendide Washer dryer combinations.

Thanks all for your help on the Splendide! I left the breaker off, came back 12 hrs later and was able to open the door! I plan to watch the You Tubevideo and disable the childproof lock as suggested! Thanks again- you all rock!!!

Don't be scared off by the video, it is easier than it looks. Basically just undo the spring securing the band around grey door seal, pull back seal a tad by the door lock, remove door lock ( couple of screws), cut the hot wire, cap it off, reassemble -- no more wrinkles!

Huge thank you for your description here and help. I've actually grown to really like our Splendide and see almost daily or every other day laundry as a neat thing to be able to do and not go to a laundromat. But my inability to get those clothes out right when I want to has bugged me! Now I finally know what to do about it, or better said, what Mike can do about it now!! Thanks!
