Disable HWH air levelling

I need to be able to keep our 2002 Magna 37/tag in dump mode in order to move under a carport which has only 1 inch clearance while dumped. We have made it several times with two people. One to keep the dump button pressed and the other to back the coach. We have the 500 series touchpad which does not keep the dump feature active unlike the 2000 touchpad that keeps dump or raise active under 5 mph. Problem compounded when starting coach under carport as coach begins to go into travel mode right away and if the coach has been sitting a while the air pressure needs to build to 75 pounds before the brake can be released. Makes for a very long and tiring push of the dump button, There has to be a fuse that will disable the system in dump position. Will call HWH on Monday for their advice but thought would see if there is any sage advice from the group.

I think with HWH system, if you get the height right, and then disconnect cable into back of keypad, it will stay there. So a bit of PIA, but if you dumped and then pulled cable it would stay in that position ( I think). If that works, you could rig up a switch to disconnect that cable easily.

Hi Jerre,

There is a fuse. On our 2001 Intrigue, it in one of the 2 fuse boxes by drivers left foot. I need to do the same thing to back into my garage. To make things easier than pulling and replacing the fuse, I wired a guarded switch on the lower dash. I don't remember the fuse name or wire number, but it should be in the wiring diagram.

I’ve got a 2002 Intrigue. The fuse on mine is located in the HWH Control Box (a sheet metal box) located behind the panel under the dash in front of the passenger seat. It’s a 7.5Amp fuse along the strip of fuses on the bottom of that box. What I did was remove the fuse, run wires up to the driver side dash, install a toggle switch and an in-line fuse holder, and I’m able to turn the Travel Mode on and off any time I need to do what you are doing. Handy for doing what you need to do, raising the rear end to get over a bad driveway, or manually leveling to Travel Mode when one of your Ride-Height valves craps out. Ask me how I know.Steve2002 Intrigue 11382  Sent from Mail for Windows 10

Don, can I use this fuse you refer to rather than setting the ride height and pulling the 7.5 fuse in front of the passenger panel? I have used that 7.5 in the past with I have valve problems.

The pre 2002 coaches have the fuse panel by the drivers left foot, after that some fuses are in the front run bus in the bay under the driver but on our 2002 Magna the 7.5 amp fuse( yellow wire #68 on our coach) for the HWH brain is in the access panel mid coach inside the slide thru bay with the inverter. A bugger to get at in a hurry. Our 97 Intrigue had the fuse by the drivers left foot. The beauty of the wire #21 is that it is very accessible. Fuse or #21 wire grounded, they both work
