This is one of those times when one solution does not fit each situation:)!
For normal roof maintenance of screw head tops, seams, around dishes, horns, etc. - I use Dicor Self Leveling.
On man of the non visible pars of the roof, after I've cleaned the area well with acetone, I'll apply Dicor to a seam, then go over it with Eternabond Tape of the appropriate width. I also then put a bead along the leading edge of the Eternabond tape (Leading edge forward, for when driving into rain at speed.). I find the work to do this, is usually a one time thing. The Decor Self Leveling caulk is protected by the Eternabond tape. The caulk is probably overkill, as Eternabond is rather robust. But, if moisture did somehow work it's way past this layer, the caulk adds more insurance. (I did this around the shower skylight about 6 years ago now, right after we had Buskote applied, and the solar installed. Inspect it carefully each year, and so far still looks very sound. I also patched a small area where we'd removed one antenna, using this process.)
Silkens is a good product, and in the right applications does a good job. As Greg mentioned, UV is not the friend of any of these products. I've used both Silkens, and at the applications 3M 5200 or 9500 adhesive seal, depending on what I was working on at that time.
Best to all,
