Engine computer

Has anyone replaced their ECU and if so, for what reason? It is a pricey item so I would not be happy if it did not solve the problem of engine stalling!

Mine got changed because of damage while changing out the batteries. Stalling sounds like a fuel problem

The stalling is not a fuel issue but it appears to be electronic. After pulling over I would attempt to restart without success. So when I scan the Silver leaf I see coolant temperature reads "0" and battery reads "0" About five minutes later those numbers change to 195 and 12.6 respectively and then the engine starts.

Thanks

Richard,

I have a C10 that would 'miss' and sometimes stall from speed, actually it would go to limp mode. My problem turned out to be a crank RPM sensor. It sounds like your problem is different, but I would suggest you take it to a CAT dealer and have them hook up their computer. With my problem, they diagnosed it and had it fixed by lunch time.
