Local referral for HWH work needed

Yahoo Message Number: 117178
Hi All,
Need a referral for someone in Washington DC/Harrisburg PA region who is familiar with and works on HWH leveling systems for my coach.

My usual mechanic (Alban CAT in Winchester VA) is stumped and HWH told them to find someone who is familiar with the systems to work on it.

Left rear is low, like on the tire. Airbag ok ride height valve has been replaced and system holds air when system manually leveled and HWH fuses pulled. Now mechanic tells me when HWH engages, the front is overcorrecting and going too high when trying to level, with rear too low especially on left.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Have you checked the ride height valves. Sometimes the arm may still be connected, but the shaft inside has broken, so it fails to actuate the ride height valve. That's what happened to me with similar symptoms...

Have you tried adjusting the auto level board?
Its easy to do once you have set the coach perfectly level, use a 4' level on the floor.

The techs can walk you through it, call them, you may have to leave your # and it could take a few days to get them to call you back.

I had my (right-rear) ride height valve replaced by a local technician. Afterward right rear also "low like on the tire ". I too found It would hold air and raise up when system manually leveled. (I did not have to pull HWH fuses). After manually raising/leveling I could go on trips and valve would maintain ride height when traveling. I traveled this way all way to Junction City, Oregon. Brian Schack (works with Kevin Waite) found that the failure was ride height valves "connections" were crossed when local tech replaced my ride height valve. Works great since.

Try Cummins in Harrisburg PA. They are an authorized HWH service center.
