EVO "99's" on the steers.
Rear Drive and Tag SP3 Adjustable should support you well, and cost less then the EVO's. (Nothing wrong with EVO's in all positions either, if the extra coin is not a consideration.)
One other option, is Road King on the Steers, and then the SP3 or EVO's in the rear position. (I have no first hand experience with the larger diameter Road Kings. But I do have 70K + miles on our Road King's, the previous 2 1/2" Diameter units. My understanding is that the newer larger Road King's large size, and valving provide both more control, and yet more forgiving over rough roads, then the 2 1/2" units I have.
I did about two years ago, buy a pair of the EVO 99's for the steer position, to compare to the older Road Kings. They handled very well, and did have a bit less road harshness transfer into the front of the coach. I elected to go back to the Road King's, as they had just a little better handling then the EVO 99's. So I trade the bit better handling, for the bit more road harshness transfer. (If I win a lotto, before ordering a new coach, I'll buy the newer Road King's and do a comparison:)!).
As you go back and read our this forum back in the mid 2000 range, County Coach had some Koni's in the rear position that were braking. (The leveling systems range was more then the Koni's (Believe these were SP1's for sure, possibly some SP2's(?) too.). Owner's would sometimes add 'Limit Range' straps and or chains, to keep the shocks from snapping.
Many owner's reported no noticeable change in handling, from a rear shock position being broken. Recall one gent that finished his summer travels, before getting the shock replaced.
This is my rational for not needing to spend the ultimate cash, for the superior shocks that the Road Kings and or Koni EVO 99's are - in comparison to the Koni SP3's.
Best to you, travel safe,
Smitty
