Hydraulic Fluid Leak - Slideout

2002 36-foot Intrigue with Living Room and Bedroom hydraulic slides. Slides are still working OK. All hydraulic hoses terminate into a long tube device in the top of the propane compartment (first bay behind the right front wheel). Hoses and fittings are wet with hydraulic fluid and a little is dripping onto propane tank. Looking for recommendations of what to do and where to do it. I would go to HWH but I'm nowhere near Iowa. Any suggestions for southern California (Orange County) service for the HWH components?

That is one of my major undertakings as we speak at Olstrom Custom Coach. I also blew a hose and drove 1500 miles with a slide sticking out. Eric Olstrom is in Tucson 520-624-2024. He was a Country Coach employee and is really good at CC repair.

My recent leak was from the cylinder ; replaced both . they have 0 rings inside which was source of leaking fluid.

You might be looking at replacing the hydraulic hose lines. We have a 2003 Magna that had leaky fittings and because the old thermo-plastic lines were too brittle to crimp new fittings on we had to replace all four lines. I hired a mobile hydraulic hose repair company named Pirtek who I believe is a nation wide franchise and we did it right in my driveway. Took 2 days and cost $2K. There are some post and pics on the Country Coach facebook page that also address this issue. Good Luck.

Hi,
You might check with M&M coach in Chino. They used to be a warranty facility for CC and we used them for years before we left SoCal. I was always pleased with their work.

Hayes Bowen is correct, you may get lucky and be able to splice a new piece on but most likely have to replace the entire line.

We replace many lines each year and the cost of the hose is in the length, longer ones cost more than shorter ones. But I'd say average is less than a couple hundred dollars per hose, depending on length. Then it comes down to how the customer wants it ran, thru the bay or under the coach. Normally much faster running under bays, especially when it's on the lift. But not always an option, depending on where it's going...

Another option since it's HWH is get the AP number off of each line and HWH can send them out to you, usually the cheapest option, just takes time to get them.
