Amana Refer

My Amana residential refrigerator is not blowing cold. Power to it is fine, i.e. lights on, motor running. But no cold.

Naturally, it is a Saturday here in Central Oregon (near Sisters at Camp Sherman, so nobody answers the phone. Question is whether a regular appliance person can get the unit out of the wall to get to the back.

Anybody ever had there "no cold" problem? Anybody ever pulled the unit out of the wall space?

Thanks mucho for any ideas.

It's a long shot but one time I had that problem and the coils at bottom of unit were caked with dust. Service man that came out says he see this often. He cleaned them and I pay up.

Do you have the freezer compartment totally loaded? The refer portion gets the cold air from the freezer compartment so check to see that the duct work isn't blocked by the huge tub of ice cream.

No, the freezer and the refer are both empty. Found a spare cabin for a couple of days to store contents in.

Did you use an RV service person or a home appliance person? I'll check so se if the coils are gunked up.

Home repair person that is willing to pull it out to get to whatever may need replacing. Tell them up front what you are dealing with.

My husband built a dolly the exact width of the refrigerator and the exact level of the refrigerator and then we slipped it right on the dolly and moved it forward. There is NO space to maneuver and the dolly option worked like a charm!
