Had the plug for the front wheel bearing cover pop off and water got into the lube reservoir. Took the coach in to have bearings cleaned and re-lubed and discovered brake pads were flaking.; probably from overheating by previous owner(s). There was lots of brake pad left but the flaking meant replacement. Truck service facility used Bendix BW 5013257 pads. The rotors were also turned. We couldn't find the bellows for the guide pins and fabricated covers out of radiator hoses and freeze plugs.
Had the bearings cleaned and filled with synthetic oil.
Cost was $1700 labor and $900 parts. The pads were about $430 for the two pairs.
The service facility had a Prevost in the shop and it had the same front brake calipers as my Magna. The Prevost had ventilated rotor while my Magna had solid rotors.
