Locked out of Coach

I was working on entry door catch and had the black plastic interior door handle partially off.  When I shut the door it would not open and could not unlock door with key fob or key.  To gain entry I drilled hole in center of window frame and used ice pick to unlock sliding window lock tab. I do not know how but sliding window broke I had finished drilling hole and was not even touching it outer glass popped
(Inner glass is ok).  I am debating replacing glass with Lexan instead of glass.  Any thoughts on this and how to go about tinting window?

Sorry to hear the sequence of how this happened!! I've never used Lexan myself, but know a few coach owner's that went that route after having the same window seal creep and needing repairs a few times...

From memory, and please fact check this - as I'd not want my this info if it is wrong to make a difference in you decision. I believe one owner told me that the Lexan had a bit less insulation values(?).

I would imagine a tint question should be answered by the person selling the product? But, suspect tint would adhere to to Lexan...

(Upon reflection, other then the sorry about the problem and getting locked out!!! My post is not much help - but, well, it's what I had for you:)!)

Share what you find out please, and best of luck to you,

Called RV Fog Dr in Searcy Ark (they took care of creeping seals on another motorhome for me) they quoted 200. For glass and 50 for install. I am sending them a trace drawing of inner glass to give them size so they can get glass  cut and tempered for me.

Plexiglass was going to be close to same cost.

It is a shame as big as Dallas is no one will do this for less than 800.
