I’m going to presume that the other belt end latches and then that would mean there is a dimensional difference between the two belt ends. Could have been made by the metric system so It could be just a few thousands difference in the size of the hole, or the distance from the hole to the end of the buckle. I’d probably compare them, and then take a rotary file to it, till it worked.
I guess another option to consider would to build an extension for the other end of your belt where a single bolt fastens it to the seat frame. Maybe a short chunk of metal with 2 holes, or a cable strap with 2 eyes. A boat shop could make that. Make one for each side and double the extension.
