1992 Affinity Overhead Panel Lights

I'm a new owner of a 1992 37ft Affinity in pristine shape and I couldn't be happier. While the unit came with a bunch of manuals (what a godsend), I am unable to figure out how to get the backlit labels to come on in the overhead panels.

I can get the backlit labels to work on the "chassis" side and there is a switch for it ... but I cannot figure out how to get the overhead ones to come on.

I have opened the panel and found the feed wire ... which if I apply power (12v) to it, they all light up... I just don't know what triggers is? Any help/advice would be great.

I am in the process of digitizing all my manuals and will post them when finished.
