Engine Bay Light Switch on 2000 Magna

Can anyone tell me where the light switch is for the lights over the engine on a 2000 Magna?
Any help will be appreciated!!

Thanks,
Bob

They should come on when the engine bay door is opened. There is a switch (same switch as in the bays) on the right side of the door opening.

Hi Dan,

There is no switch on my engine bay door right or left.  I will look some more but I don't even see any hole where a switch might have been.

Bob,
My door frame has metal brackets attached to both left and right sides of the fiberglass frame.  The right side has the switch on it.  I’ll take a picture in the morning if that will help.  The left side bracket is the stop for the left side of the closed door.

Bob,
Here’s a couple pics of the light switch in my engine compartment.  I wouldn’t think there would have been any difference between the 36’ and 40’ coaches with regard to this switch.  Hope this helps.

Hi Dan,

Thank you so much!  The right side engine bay lock bracket has the hole for the switch but the switch is missing and after looking real close I was able to find the switch wires were tucked back behind the right side and was hidden real well.
Your pictures were very helpful and much appreciated.

Bob,
Glad it helped.  Incidentally, I had to change the switch prior to taking the pics.  Those switches aren’t designed to deal with being in an exposed position.  Several years ago I bought several of the switches and I’m already running low and need to find a source again and resupply.

Dan,
I can see that these switches aren't built for the dust & dirt environment.  I know last time I bought some of these for another application they were fairly inexpensive so I guess I better stock up as well.
