Location of air brake filter....

I have a 2002 CC Magna and would like to replace the desiccant air filter for the brake system. Can anyone help me with where that is located? Not having any luck finding it myself.
Thank You  Mike

On my 2000 Magna it is above the rear axle sort of on the driver's side.  It is a pain to get to.  At least that's what the service techs tell me as I haven't attempted to work on it myself.  When I have it serviced I have it replaced with a rebuilt unit.  That way I don't worry about the quality of the techs' work but also because I get a new pop-off valve on the unit.

From what I have read, I thought it was a screw-on filter that resembles an oil filter.

On my 2002 Magna the air compressor desiccant filter and air purge valve assembly is a combined unit.  It is possible to independently replace the desiccant filter, or the purge unit.  However IMO it’s best to simply replace both as a complete assembly.  It’s not that much more work or expense to do both.
I purchased a re-conditioned Benedix unit from FinditParts that cost $302.00, but they charge a core deposit of $188.00 and are very slow to refund that amount...
The desiccant/purge assembly is bolted to a bracket on the chassis/frame.  It’s located on the frame, directly between the passenger side tag axle air bags and the driveshaft.  You’ll have to remove and re-install 3 air lines and the electrical quick connector that powers the heating element.  It took me a couple hours and involved some serious crawling around under the coach to get the job done.  It’s located in an awkward spot, but if you’re flexible, it’s not a problem.  Helps to be skinny too..  It’s not a difficult job, the hardest part is crawling in and out from underneath.  Helps to have someone handing tools to you.
