Cable TV connection

My apologies for such a basic question, especially since this is our 4th Coach. Recently purchased a 2001 Intrigue. Connected to the cable Tv hookup at the campground but no channels inside. Before I start tracing down coax in the coach, it dawned on me we have the original analog tv's front and back. I'm guessing I'll need a digital converter box? Previous owners just used the satellite TV for everything so I'm guessing they were not concerned with cable. I had the selector box on "antenna." If I do need the converter box, where is everybody installing the box at?
Thank you, Christian

Hi Christian,

We also have an '01 Intrigue, 36', #11238. When TV went digital, my first step was to replace the VHS player with a VHS to DVD recorder with a tuner. Did that for a year or so, then remodeled the front, replaced the CRT with a flat screen and added surround sound system with 3 ceiling mounted speakers in front. I'm not sure you can buy a converter box new, but you might find one at Goodwill. I donated several.
At the same time, we remodeled the cabinet in the bedroom and put a flat screen in there too.

Thank you Don. We had plans of upgrading so now it will just be sooner than later. Did you keep the original TV cabinet up front or alter it in some way? I know the Coach is still new to us but I'm getting tired of bumping my head when entering the coach!

We had ours rebuilt by Davis Cabinets in Junction City. They did the work here in Yuma.
If you want, PM me with your email and I’ll send you some photos.

Did you have the TVs "learn" the new channels?
