Should fuel cap on 2008 Allure with C9 engine be vented or unvented?

The cap is unvented. The tank is vented.

I’ve noticed I can hear my tank expand when I loosen the cap. Is there an access to the tank vent? I’m wondering if mine is clogged. Any issues if I installed a vented cap? I did notice my cap says “vacuum only”
