06 intrigue city water hook up help

When we hook up the city water to the coach it fills tank and then comes out the overflow never holds the water, trying to figure out what is causing it to do that

Don't quite understand the problem. Are you saying that the water is runnig out the overflow and the tank isn't holding water? Do you have the tank fill valve in the right position?

Yes it’s just going straight out the overflow. There is one valve on/off switch it’s in the down position

We’re trying to use the city water only.  what position should the valve be in right now we have it down?

Sounds like your tank is full. I would turn the valve in the other direction and see what happens
