2003 CC Magna silver leaf problem

We just purchased a 2003 CC Magna and it has the silver leaf monitor in the dash I think from the factory it is very hard to read do to being pixelated was wondering if this can be sent out for repair or will I need to buy a new unit? Also if I disconnect it will this affect the coach from being used.
