After market ladder

We are new owners of a 2000 Magna # 5840. It has no factory installed ladder. CC can not tell me whether or not this coach has the reinforcing installed to support a ladder. Has anyone attempted to have a ladder attached to their coach after delivery? Any information will be appreciated.

Jim & Janet,

I am in the same boat with a 2004 Intrigue. The dealer had CC send me a ladder and I cannot confirm the necessary blocking behind the fiber glass. I can reach through he engine access door to feel the fiber glass for the lowest attach bracket location and there is no blocking there. Above that everything is foamed in and so I cannot determine what blocking may or may not be there. I have a call into CC to see what they tell me.

I own a 2000 Magna (5824) and had a ladder installed at the Las Vegas Rally a couple of years ago. The cost of the ladder (ordered through CC) was somewhere around $100-120. Since the ladder has 5 pairs of braces, I was not to concerned about the support. I had mine installed by experienced CC techs, and they said there was no issue with support.

Jim, & Janet,

We purchased a 2004 Intrigue from Guaranty in Junction City. Dave Bonney was our sale person and we asked him to install a rear ladder which was done. It looks great and works great. No problems after seven months or ownership. We have used it several times washing top & cleaning vents.

Dear Jim and Janet,

We have a 2003 Magna, and after we took delivery, we had a ladder installed on it at Lazydays RV Center in Florida. No problems.

Janet and Jim,

I did not have a ladder on my 2001 Magna, but the dealer installed one prior to delivery. It was purchased from CC Parts Department, and was installed with no special prep. I know of a couple that belongs to our camping chapter that had one installed on their 2000 Magna. I was told that CC always places blocking in all their coaches for ladders even though not always installed. The layout on the frame on recent coaches is probably different, but putting a ladder on your 2000 should not be problem.
