1985 36' CC

Hi all, I'm a 'noobie' looking for a mechanic in Los Angeles area. My RV only starts with starting fluid (I know it's not good for it), then throws black smoke at idle and has no power. I replaced both filters and suspect it's airlocked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
