What to look for

Hello all, we recently purchased a 2006 Intrigue 42' and just wondering are there any known issues with this coach?

Thanks in advance.!

So, just to add I found out from the dealer that the radiators on these from 2005 or so and on are prone to failing / leaking, and need to be replaced before they do. I was assured mine was replaced before I received it. Nice, an honest salesman!

I am a new owner of 2006 Intrigue w/ tag and C-13 as well. From all that i've read and researched engine cooling seems to be the biggest issue and frequent cleaning seems to keep them running within temps. The 1 Other issue ive heard is exhaust plugging from light throttle use building up carbon. Hope to see you down the road someday, happy traveling.

Thanks for the response, and I can't wait to address any issues that may need improvement. I suspect even the pre def rigs will have a catalytic converter that will plug up and slow things down causing many issues. One of my first changes will be to make my own exhaust and bypass the converter, and with an engine this large should be good for an extra 50 to 100 hp 1 to 2 mpg, and cooler running as well. I built one for my Dodge tow rig with a 5.9 Cummins out of stainless steel, and Titanium tubing.

Not to mention the sound should be great as well! any extra breathing in or out of the big C-13 should up the power band. The other extra I am adding back there is a small catch can on the slobber tube to stop from having bits of oil on my toad and back of the coach.

I haven't looked at mine yet, still at the dealer getting suspension, and brakes worked on, but if it's still plugged with the factory PCV/filter I would add a catch can to help relieve internal pressure, and hopefully stop any leaks it may have. On my Cummins I added an extra hose to the valve cover to relieve pressure, and it stopped the valve cover gasket from seeping oil.

I just got back with my Diesel tech, and somehow, I got an engine serial # with no emissions controls at all on a 525 HP CAT how can that be. I wonder where it came from Canada?
